     Meagan Ciona, RMT

Meagan graduated from the Foothills College of Massage Therapy in 2005 and has the equivalency of 2200 hours of massage training.  The information that she received during her Active Release Techniques (ART) training, coupled with her clinical experience, has been instrumental in Meagan's approach to massage.  By treating her clients in 3D she is able to resolve the issue much faster than if she just focused on the areas that are painful.  After her initial assessment she will use a variety of different techniques including Myofascial Release, PNF StretchingJoint Mobilizations, and Trigger Point Therapy to obtain the desired results.  She specialises in Deep Tissue Therapeutic Massage,  Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction (TMJ), Sports Injuries, Motor Vehicle Accidents (MVA), Relaxation, Pregnancy, Sprains/Strains, and Chronic Pain Conditions.  She continues to upgrade her skills and has taken several Professional Development courses including TMJ Dysfunction and Articular Disc Displacement, Shoulder Rehabilitation, Biodynamic Myofascial Mobilization of the Lumbosacral and Pelvis Region, and Anatomy Trains Fascial Release Series: Intrinsic Muscles of the Pelvis.  Meagan believes that Yoga and strengthening exercises, stretching and regular massages are the keys to maintaining a pain free lifestyle and she encourages you to become an active participant in your health.  Meagan also works closely with other healthcare practitioners in order to provide you with the best care possible.
